College, what can I say?
So ya I haven't posted anything in a long while this summer, but I have been extremely busy over this summer with work and preparing for college.
I find it really hard to write about something when you're concentrated on kids' swim lessons, final swim meets, goodbyes, stress, and so many other things.
I've been trying to make a review of Portal 2 and a view on all the games coming out.
But again life got in the way, it happens.
But ya I'm in college now. WooHoo! I'm the happiest person alive. Hell I feel alive in college. I've been meeting so many people (and girls). And I have so much time on my hands now. So I gotta get back to organizing my desk. I'll get that Portal 2 review by this weekend.

Why hello Mr. Xbox 360 slim
So in preparation for college I needed a gaming system for the dorm. The family owns a Wii and Ps3. No one used the Wii much anymore so it's a given I'll take it. The system I needed to ask for was the Ps3. And so began the following conversation with my little brother.
Me: Hey Alexander can I bring the Playstation-
Little Brother: No.
Me: Crap....
So that idea was quickly dashed. And so it came down to me buying a Xbox 360. I wasn't keen on using $200 graduation money for a system, so I dug through my closet to find my PSP and DS Lite. I went to the local gamestop and traded my:
I also bought Xbox live gold for 2 months for $2 on this awesomely convenient deal. I got a bunch of games from a friend who doesn't play anymore, and finally go a headset for $20.
So my opinions on the Xbox 360?
The Controller:
Compared to the Ps3, the Xbox 360 has a much better controller for shooters. The Ps3 does pretty well for all games. But the triggers on the Xbox 360 controller feel much more natural for shooters. Unfortunately for any other games, the Xbox 360 controller feels weird, like I never really liked playing racing games on the 360.
And between the Kinect and Playstation Move. The Kinect is so much better. The Playstation Move just seems like a Wii controller except for Ps3 games. The Kinect on the other hand. I had doubts on it, but after playing Dance Central it's awesome. However that seems like the only game I'll actually enjoy with the Kinect because all the others just seem like reboots of Wii games I've already played.
Graphics, Dashboard and Gameplay:
I already established the feel of the controllers. The Xbox 360 pretty much has similar graphics and gameplay as the Ps3. The only thing I have to get used to is the different dashboards, which isn't anything to complain about it's just a matter of adapting. Only problem with the 360 is no bluray player so no awesome HD movies.
Gaming Services:
PSN: I loved the free service. But ever since it was down due to the hackings and the lack of any of my friends online, it felt lacking. Ya I got some fun out of multiplayer, but it is nothing compared too....
Xbox Live: Yes I have to pay for it, but that's the small fee for an awesome experience. I finally got to play in full parties with a lot of people I know, it's extremely fun. I also do better with people I know.
Verdict: I really like both the Xbox 360 and Ps3 and I can never choose which is better between the two.
If you were to choose between the two it depends on a number of factors:
Me: Hey Alexander can I bring the Playstation-

- Uncharted 2 (I shed a few bitter tears, but 3 is coming out Nov.)
- AC Brotherhood
- LBP (I already had 2)
- Gran Turismo 5
- A Number of DS games at least 9.
- Refurbished Xbox 360 slim 4gb
- Halo Reach (Preowned)
- Powerup reward pro

- Blu-ray? or no?
- Which Exclusive games you want? You really have to make choices and sacrifices on which games you want. For awhile I gave up on Gears of War and Halo for a bit for Uncharted and Final Fantasy.
- The importance of multiplayer to you. Do you want to play with your friends? If so what system is the majority of your friends on? and if it's Xbox live, would you be willing to pay for that?

Hypnotism
So my Grad Night for High School was in our gym, and I was thinking how lame it was going to be.
It turned out to be the most awesome time of my life ever. I'll go into detail on another post of my whole slew of events that happened yesterday.
So for every Grad Night at the school I go to, the staff always hires a hypnotist. And at my school there's a billion rumors about how it actually works and what people have done. Also none of the events were really ever posted on the public (probably for a number of reasons).
Ya I was a bit skeptical if this thing could actually work.
And I can tell you one thing, It Does.
After seeing what the guy had my friends and classmates do. I can pretty much tell you hypnotism is real and the people I saw weren't faking it. The first things the hypnotists had my classmates do still made me doubt because you can generally fake it. Like you can fake acting cold or hot. The later ones though knocked me off my seat and made me believe. After knowing my friend Juan for 4 years and him generally being a guy, I know for a fact he wouldn't take off his shoes and paint his toenails in front of the school.
Hypnotism really is psychology at one of its finest. You really wouldn't expect someone to be at the mercy of what someone else is telling them, but it happens. There's a 6 minute process that all my classmates who volunteered had to go through with the hypnotist breathing in and out and such. He prompted them about random events happening and have them imagine it like flying through the sky and falling into the sea and doing things with your eyes and looking in the middle of your forehead with your eyes shut. I tried it out myself in the audience and I stopped because I had this feeling like I was getting lost in my own mind and I might actually be hypnotized if I continued on.
Then two things happened. People either got hypnotized or they didn't.
If they weren't you could tell they weren't and escorted off stage. It's basically due to the fact they weren't comfy what they were doing, they pretty much were conscious of where they were and what was happening. They weren't really comfy where they were. That's pretty much what I gathered when I asked my friends and classmates who sat down
The people who were hypnotized were just asleep and just looked knocked out, no matter what the hypnotist did. And once we all started cheering and they still didn't wake up, we all immediately learned that hypnotism was real and these guys were screwed.
What ensued was an hour of fun. It felt like 5 minutes to them, Inception? I think so. It's really shocking and hilarious seeing people you know doing things that they wouldn't do. No scratch that. They wouldn't do what any normal person would do.
But they did get something out of it. I didn't think this could work either, but at the end the hypnotist made our classmates sleep again. And he told them that when they "woke up" they would be re-energized (we all wish we had that because it was four in the morning), and that they would have a good night's rest (another one we all wished he did to us).
And right now I'm look amongst, a bunch of my classmates complaining about how tired they are, myself included. Except my friend Juan who said he and the best sleep ever along with another classmate of mine who said something very similar.
So if you ask my if hypnotism is real, I'll pretty much say yes.

End of the World May 21st
So during Finals, a lot of people were talking about the world ending.
There's actually a billboard, exactly like the one pictured above, on the highway near my home.
I didn't bother taking a picture of the one where I live:
- Because I didn't want to die in a car accident, bringing my judgement day earlier than what the billboard says.
- It's nothing, but a stupid advertisement for a radio station (most likely a religious one)
When people in my class were talking about how the world was going to end May 21st (Today), no one was taking it seriously. Like it's so random and out of place for the world to end on such a day. If the world was ending, I think there would be a bit more obvious hints like the skies darkening and other such abnormalities.
Well there is no Hellfire and Brimstone yet here. If the world does end now, I guess the conspirators were right, but I would not CARE. I have no regrets in life, I'm happy with what I have accomplished in my life and hope that I'm happy in my next one.
My Mind's Finally Cleared of Stressful Clutter
I'm finally done with my Finals!
It felt like such a long week of studying and worrying, but I'm finally finished! And with pretty decent grades no doubt. But ya I'm technically done with High School! It's official on May 28th on my graduation ceremony. I still can't fathom it that I'm almost off to college. It is such a surreal feeling that in 3 months I'll be leaving so many things and people behind. But it's best to just stay in the present and enjoy the time I have left and make the most our of them!
So ya I'm back (again). So I'll be going crazy with content with all this time I have again!

Going Incognito for a Week
Alright so I just got back from an awesome Prom and in recovery mode. This week I'm going to be taking Finals so I'll mostly be studying and getting ready for graduation. So no Blogger for at least a week, but I'll try to post what I can if I get the time you never know!
O ya so I was pondering and thinking over this so I'll connect my facebook, tumblr and twitter to this blog so I'll start adding my contact info for them.
So if you want to chat, agree, disagree with me directly not in my comment box feel free to add me. And you can see a lot more of my less artistic photography. And please tell me if you're friending me from this info on blogger on a message, because I've got a big stalker (no lie) and he's been making a different account to try and reach me it's very creepy.
Tumblr: tehviray.tumblr.com
Facebook: just search in through my email gviray@pacbell.net and the picture is the same one I have on my profile here under Gabriel Viray

Music
I enjoy that feeling when you turn on your CD player, cassette player, ipod, zune, computer, etc. and playing that first song of the day.
There's that moment of utter bliss when whatever song your listening to just runs through your body and can even control it. The catchier the song is to you the more you're inclined to sing or tap along. When you are doing homework you're more concentrated (depending on how you work of course). A song helps convey the mood of a movie scene. It helps us athletes concentrate and pump us up. A song can make your day. It can brighten your mood. Music does a whole variety of good things for our body and mind.
It's awesome when you find that good song or artist. Like when I'm browsing through itunes or listening to 8tracks and I find a good song, something clicks in my head. At first I'm initially interested in the song, then it begins to grow on me and I find myself playing it again just to savor the moment again.
Here's how I work with the genres:
Now for the other side of the spectrum:
The EVIL side of music.
There's bad things music can do. It can be rather annoying. For example I hate people who blast their music with the bass up. I can be guilty of it too at times due to peer pressure. It's just one of those things that it's fun doing, but you hate it when it happens to you.
Some songs are overplayed and some shouldn't be played at all. Rebecca Black you are the music industry's Bubonic Plague, but at least you make me appreciate real music.
Most of it is pirated (guilty) and many of the artists don't get the proper credit they deserve.
But despite it's faults, music is such a beautiful thing. It's the human idea of mixing a bunch of sounds from practically anything and making art out of it. Just like art many people see beauty from different things. Someone may absolutely worship rap and think Classical music is boring. And I think Rap is crap (haha) and of course like Classical music. Both genres are amazing in their own way it's just both of our opinions whether we like them or not.
My final thought on music. I honestly think music is also the voice of God (or fill in whatever you believe in even if it's nothing). Something so beautiful and so able to form into so many things must come from something so perfect as God.
Otherwise we wouldn't have put so much work into making it even more beautiful and making it a part of our lives.
So thanks for reading my perspective and thoughts in the wonderful world of sounds, thoughts and feelings we call Music.
Now if you excuse me I have to get back to some homework with the Hans Zimmer's Inception soundtrack!

At first I'm initially interested in the song, then it begins to grow on me and I find myself playing it again just to savor the moment again.
Here's how I work with the genres:
- Pop: I use this kind of music to initially get me through my morning and on the drive to school. It's also good for those fill-in songs during the day when I can't make up my mind on what music to play. The songs vary on how I like them, and I usually delete this music after at least a year for new stuff.
- Alternative/Rock/Punk/ Heavy Metal (Not too heavy for me): One of my favorite genres of music. It can be anything really from catching pop bands to heavy screaming. I use these songs for a lot of things every day it would take another list to name them all. It usually takes longer for me to replace these songs like at least a year and some just are permanently glued to my playlist.
- Country: Not my favorite genre, but there's so really good ones out there. I don't usually own any of the songs myself, but it's nice to hear good ones on the radio.
- Classical: O where to begin! My absolute favorite genre! There's just one thing I use for it though concentration and thought. Right now I'm playing this song: Escape! Phillip Glass
I often get lost in classical music while I'm doing my homework of laying on my bed. Really what I like about it is that there's no words (unless you include Opera in this category) so you can use your imagination to describe the feelings the song portrays. I can go on and on about it, but for list's sake onward!
- Jazz: A lot of it is like classical, but with a different feel. It's a bit more chill and upbeat than classical. I dunno whether it's my favorite or not. But I do like it and its a breath of fresh air at times from my classical playlists.
- Rap/ Hip-Hop/ R&B: Okay I mostly hate Rap and Hip-Hop. But there are a few songs within the genre I do like and some of it is actually fun especially like ones with the specific dances like Jerking and Cat Daddy. Kid Cudi and some of Kanye's songs are pretty genius along with some others. The genres fairly new compared to others and it still has potentialR&B I tend to like more than the others because of it's lighter chiller tone and has that pop feel you can't help but like.
- Parody: What more can I say than a lot of these are awesome! Weird Al is a genius and I have to admit some of his songs sound better than the original. Others I have no idea how people can come up with them Example: Assumption song Hilarious!
It's sad I learned all the lyrics to this song and can sing it by heart.....
- Covers: While we are on the topic of remakes of songs, there's a lot of covers of songs out there. You can just type in any popular song on youtube and for sure there will be an acoustic cover of it. It's not the most original of most genres, but it's unique in which someone takes a song and puts a new spin on it.

College Bound!
So I have approximately 3 weeks left of High School and about 5 months left with most of my friends, family, and swim career.
I'm dead set on my college of choice University of California Merced. After getting accepted there as well as several tours, shadowing, and spending a night there I made my choice. What's even greater, I've got three of my best friends since grade school coming along with me! And another one is going to a University just an hour away.
My High School grades are great and I'm for sure graduating.
Wow... High School, well.... Life in general is just speeding by...
Really High School, you've been great and I've gotten many great friends and memories out of you, and I'll miss you in due time, but I'm totally ready too ready for college!
Only gripes I have going to college:
Man but all this freedom of leaving the nest called Home...
High School prepared me for college.
College is preparing me to be somebody!
A phase of my life is ending and a new one is beginning. I'm definitely excited, World here I come!

Only gripes I have going to college:
- Smaller room and no more comfy bed at home -____- (That place has been like my throne)
- No awesome home cooking.... Well time to get my body ready for a lot of cafeteria food and Hot Pockets XP. Thank goodness there's a gym.
- Ending of my swim career. There's no swim team or pool at the University... I've been swimming for 10 years, all of those under a club with the final four with High School as well, so it's going to be tough parting from competitive swimming.
- Parting from 90% of my friends. Besides the ones coming with me distance is going to make it tough from me seeing a lot of my friends... That's going to be tough.
- Parting from my family. My family can be annoying at times and I can get sick of them. But I'm definitely going to miss their company and having that parental guidance at times.
Man but all this freedom of leaving the nest called Home...

Boredom
One thing in life I love to hate is boredom.....
It's a driving force at first to make you get off your ass and do something.
It's a horrible feeling when you've done all you think you can do.
You feel antsy and you want to do something, but.... you don't know what that "what" is.
My Cures for Boredom:
Finally you download a toolbar that has a stumble! button, press it and it's like discovering new worlds!
I've found so many funny and interesting on stumbleupon so if you're interested here's a link enjoy!

My Cures for Boredom:
- Watch T.V. - First thing I go straight for when boredom hits. I get a few shows and anime in and then....
- Play Video Games- Self exclamatory
- Computer- This is the biggest boredom killer because one word: INTERNET. I can like make a subcategory for this like facebook, twitter, etc. , but here's the top things I do on the computer.
- Stumbleupon- If you haven't found this application it's the biggest time killer in the world.

- 8tracks- There's a bunch of music mix sites, but for now I'm sticking with 8tracks. People make some chill mixes on here and it's where I go for something new. Mostly to satisfy my classical needs.
4. Here's when I start getting desperate and starting to stall:
- Yelling and Cursing in my house (when I'm alone of course). I dunno I really find joy in this, remember this is the desperate step.
- Take a Shower (again)- It's an automatic in the morning, but now I'm just stalling.
- Small trip around my town- This kills my gas, but it's in the name of my boredom.
- Eat, walk around, repeat until I find something to do- This is my final trump card and it usually has good results and I get lunch done.

So I have to pick 15 people for this award D: ya... that's like mostly everyone that follows me haha.... So I'll bend some rules like LB and pick how about 5 and make it even more special.
So here's the people I think deserve this award!

First Day of Spring Break!
So I finally get a much deserved vacation!!! Spring Break is here!!!
Let's see the things I've done over the past few weeks that I've been so busy with:
So really my senior has been great so far! Yes I've had my depressing moments and times when I felt like utter crap, but you just have to fill those up with happy ones!
So life is as good as you make it and I plan to be better than good.
Let's see the things I've done over the past few weeks that I've been so busy with:
- I watched my school's edition of Les Miserable. It's such a great musical I recommend watching it. It's up their with Phantom of the Opera and Wicked in my book. Took plenty of pictures there and had a great time altogether seeing my classmates efforts at making it so awesome.
- So many projects. For Economics we had a major project IES (International Economic Summit) and for my religion class (I go to a private catholic school) I had to do a marriage project with my "wife" X) here's a pic of us
- Had a few swim meets here and there.
- Still finding a date to prom, I have one possible one so I have do something cute to ask her now (gotta think of something).
- Had days when I'm feeling like, crap, alone, confused, and mediocre.
- But had days which were awesome and I had a blast like at our senior prank on April 1st
So really my senior has been great so far! Yes I've had my depressing moments and times when I felt like utter crap, but you just have to fill those up with happy ones!
So life is as good as you make it and I plan to be better than good.
So.... Let me explain. We had a huge project for Economics class where we had to role play as a country and trade with other countries. So we also had to come in costume and these two are Saudi Arabia so they decided to go a little Disney. guess which one it is :D?
Btw... that's not a Qur'an so ya don't worry they're not bashing a religion (It's a Hardy Boys book haha)

O Dear Looks Like I've been Tagged
So Mr. LB tagged me on one of his posts, so challenge accepted I'll post my favorite things according to the categories and tag 5 other people!
Food: I'm not the biggest fan of most vegetables, but otherwise I love any kind of food and mostly willing to try anything. Unless it doesn't sound, look, or smell that appetizing. But I mostly love spicy food to a certain extent. I once did the Wingstop atomic wings challenge and I couldn't taste much for the rest of the day, my lips were an inferno, and I was miserably drinking milk for quite a while.
But ya to sum it up food is good and I love food (well most...)
Color: Hmm.... Mostly blue.... ya blue.... nothing much to say here haha
Animal: hmm... pikachu, piplup, and mew yeah that's right! O alright if you want me to pick some real ones.... -_____-
Perfume: ........ HELL YA! No I'm just kidding chlorine is the only cologne I can afford.

- Dolphins- I swear dunno being an aquarius I love these animals and I pretty much act like them in the water and land playful and outgoing creatures. Random idea but how awesome would it be to like to rent out an olympic sized pool replace the chlorinated with normal water for dolphins to swim in and get some pirate ship and put it in the middle. It would be dangerous as well but freaking AWESOME! I'm going off track onwards...
- Dogs- Man's best friend, what can I say how can you hate them? except I'm not a big fan of the small hyper ones that bark constantly. There's one in my neighbors yard that like makes it a habit to bark and howl at 2am in the morning..... lovely...
- Bengal Tiger- An awesome cat and one I want to tame and have for a pet. Like I really want to tackle one and make him my pet. I can just take out on a stroll >:)
Dessert: Hmm... Frozen Yogurt especially Red Velvet flavored frozen yogurt. It's the most heavenly dessert I've had in ages....
Artist/Singer/Band- I have way too many to name but here's some awesome ones I've picked up recently.
Bands:
Explosions in the Sky
Infant Sorrow
Motion City Soundtrack
Artists:
Hans Zimmer
Maxence Cyrin
Joe Hisaishi
Pair of Shoes: Busted pair of vans (I don't want to throw those things out), Pair of Nikes can't complain I'm too poor to afford any more shoes.
Outfit: Umm. Dickies shorts with any random tshirt I find in the drawers along or....
Skinny Jeans: I like skinny jeans but not too much. I can't constrict myself too much, dunno how some guys do it.
Brand: I don't belong to many brands I just look for nice clothing
Accessory: Umm.. I wear a necklace my grandma gave my once in awhile
Snack: Way too many things to put here but let's keep it at jalapeno kettle chips, yup!
Holiday: Christmas, gets the family together and it's just a nice holiday whether you are religious or not.
Movie: Inception and An Education two great movies.
Song: Hardest one ever..... Stroll Through the Sky- Joe Hisaishi. It's such a nice song in Howl's Moving Castle you can never really go wrong with classical music.
Guilty Pleasure: As a nerd I have way too many Yugioh is one of them :P
So I have to tag five more people so here we go! (And if you get tagged haha get yourselves busy >X)
Okay I'm friggin lazy so I'll bend the rules and choose three.

Things that Bring a Smile to my Face
There's a lot of Things that make me smile in life whether it's happy or sad, but here's some things I always come across often that bring tickles my fancy and bring both ends of my mouth up.
- Eating toast with Nutella and a glass of milk (2%) for breakfast.
- Seeing people's reaction when a girl/guy agrees to be their prom date.
- Taking a nice picture.
- Finally getting that damned Calculus problem that took you two hours, several pencils with their erasers all used up, and a bunch of smudge marks on you to solve.
- Beating the boss to a video game.
- Taking a nice shower after swimming.
- Hearing a good joke.
- Seeing a funny, inspiring, interesting, etc. video
- When someone text messages me out of nowhere just to talk.
- Putting your music on shuffle and somehow the right song plays that brightens your day.
- Those are just some that popped in my head I'll probably revisit this list another time!

22 Days
Going into senior year I began hating my class. Going to a private middle school then High School, and spending almost 4 years with the people in my class and almost 13 with some of them, I began seeing all the negative things in my class. Our class was really divided, many people didn't like each other, and there are jerks in my class that don't try, aren't open with anything and I quite frankly don't know why their parents pay $10,000 for them to go here when they are just wasting it away.
I wanted graduation to come around quickly and be rid of my horrid class and go to college and meet better people.
That began changing last Thursday when we had our senior class retreat.
I didn't expect much except disappointment.
I was wrong....
My class starting bonding again thanks to a few great speakers. One in particular was an alumni who graduated awhile back and also had children who graduated, who really struck hard at my class and made us think.
He told us we have 22 days left with each other and to make the most of them at the end. And that's when our class began coming back together. Yes there was that 10% of people that weren't affected at all but it happens you just have to ignore them.
And so my perspective of my class has changed much. In the beginning of the year all I did was look at the negative things and start looking at the positive things our class has.
Despite the jerks, I have a really spirited class.
When it comes down to it our class can mix well and bond.
I'll most definitely miss them.
My class has our ups and downs at times, but overall our class of 2011 shines and I'm proud of you guys, I'll miss you all and really you made this old bankrupt city we live in more than bearable!
So we have 22 days left with each other time to make the best out of them!

How I Judge a Person
Call me Professor Higgins from Pygmalion but I really judge people by the way they speak and the content.
My first impression of a person is really based on the way they speak to me the first time I meet them. You speak ghetto to me you're halfway down the road to me thinking you're worthless trash.
So you're probably thinking I'm being a jerk, racist, whatever. Continuing on... the usual subjects of a person's conversations are also what I judge them on. If all you speak about is sex, drugs, and gossip then you're trash to me. If you're speaking about Quantum Physics, life, and something actually intellectual my opinion about you will change, but I'll still be skeptical.
The one thing that pisses me off about society today is how so many people are speaking like a idiot. Really whoever speaks ghetto, can't keep a decent conversation, and is about to become an adult is complete TRASH, ya I said it,TRASH.
I can give you a billion reasons why I think that, but here's the main ones.
-You're a friggin adult
It's time to stop acting like a child who can't complete his sentences correctly. You may think it's cute or cool when the rest of us think so you're just being obnoxious and immature.
-No one in the professional world will find potential in you.
If you want a nice job there's no way any employer will take you seriously. Why you ask? Just by speaking ghetto and slang you're telling your employer something about yourself:
Yes I can see the hole in my argument, but guess what they just got lucky. Yes they had talent, but they don't have the education to filter it properly.
Let's see..... 50 Cent got shot several hundred times and is one of the beacons in decreasing the I.Q. of the U.S. population just by listening to his music.
And Eminem he's having issues an all he can even sing about is his wife problems, his daughters, and how his life is a big mess BOO HOO go to Africa, the Middle East, and Japan. Your problems aren't worth shit compared to what someone else in the world is going through if you're going to sing about someone stop singing about yourself it sounds nice at first, but then it's just pitiful.
So you may think I'm a jerk burning on people like this, but really I don't see anything productive coming out of being ghetto especially people who act that way. Whether you're poor, rich, black, asian, white or whatever no one should act like this. There's nothing cool about it and it'll take you down a horrible road that may seem nice at first, but quickly turns to crap.
So really all I'm ranting about is I pity our society to change from idolizing gangs, rappers (though not all are bad), sex, and drugs to actually becoming someone and unique in a good way.

- Clearly all your English teachers have failed to reach you so how can they

Inception Soundtrack
Inception was a great movie! Just saying that off the bat, but ya totally worth seeing if you haven't already. I can't imagine anyone who hasn't yet.
But anyways I finally downloaded the soundtrack and it's amazing as well. Gotta give it to Hans Zimmer he knows how to make a good soundtrack, I also suggest the Modern Warfare 2 soundtrack that one is pretty epic as well.
Anyways if you have watched the movie you'll recognize all the music in this soundtrack my personal favorites are 528491, Mombasa, Waiting for a Train, and Time but all of them are worth listening to and I never skip over them. If you haven't watched the movie I think it'll be a different listening experience. because really with all soundtracks you instantly match the scene in which the music was playing in your head if you watched the movie or played the game.
So if you have the time for it I suggest listening to the Inception soundtrack it's pretty out there so you might have to bring a totem along.

So Why I've been Missing in Action for awhile
So basically I've been rather absent for what feels like the last few months because of school. I really have no idea why....
So I finally have time to get back on blogger so I'll just break down on what I've done over the past few months in a rather long list:
So that's my ranting, but here's my optimistic rant(?).
I finally have a four day weekend so I have a moment to blog, obviously.
Prom's coming up and finding a date, no worries at all.
Work has finally been dwindling and I'm almost done with my ultra-mega-alpha-prime economic project.
I've been getting sleep.
Daylights savings has been making the days sunnier.
There's more sunny days and no more depressing rain.
And finally, I'm just a happier person because I'm graduating in about 2 months woot!
So that's what I've been up to. I'll try getting more content on my blog and also a writer is interested in putting content on this blog and I'm currently communicating with them on it.

Song of the Day
My friend did this thing at school where he just randomly finds songs he likes and just declares it the song of the day and on a given day we just listen to the song and comment on it. So I thought it was a cool idea and might as well start it on this blog.
So along with my photography I'll start posting some random song I find of any genre and popularity and post it with my thoughts on it. Feel free to comment as well and I'm hoping to have some fun with this.
So here's the first song of the day:
Baba Yetu- Composer: Christopher Tin
I stumbled upon this song when I first played Civilization IV. This song first plays when you're in the menu screen and before I even began playing the game I stopped to listen.
It's a beautiful piece of music to me at first because it sounded nice, but I didn't know it's the Swahili Our Father. So it also has a bit of sprititual meaning to me. It's a song of about how our kind came to where we are today and reminding us our origins and be proud of being human.

LittleBigPlanet 2
First Impressions:
So I ordered the collector edition of LBP 2 in August and got it on the release date of January 18
I totally wanted the plush doll and quite happy with now.
The bookends are pretty cool just another nerdy addition to my game library.
The DLC costumes worth it as well.
Just for the extras I'm quite happy with what I paid for.
So What Did I Think of the Game?
I just now beat the whole game and going back to perfect some levels and try creating one. I also want to try the game with 3 more friends, but I have to say... dang this game is fun!
If you haven't played the first LBP it isn't necessary to play the first one, but it may get some time to get used to the controls mainly the jumping.
For those who have played the first one this game, it is a must have especially if you really liked creating levels in the first LBP.
There's so much added content to the game and creation that I know I'm going to have this game for quite awhile. So check it out!

Why Kids Shouldn't play Call of Duty
I swear there's nothing I hate more as a gamer is playing a rated M game (Call of Duty, Halo, Killzone 2, take your pick) and hearing a little kid in multiplayer. Not only is it an earsore to hear these kids talk, but annoys me in a lot more ways than just the fact of getting my eardrums ruptured by their constant screaming and annoying babble.
To me this shows bad parenting (my opinion go against me if you will)
My parents were very strict about what games I played until I was at least 16. I was forbidden to play shooters even Teen ones because my Dad simply didn't want me to. He was okay with me watchign violent movies though as long as it was with him. I didn't really know his real reasoning, but I can assume he didn't want me to be the one doing the shooting real or not and at least mature a bit more and differentiate between enjoying a shooting game or enjoying the emulation of killing someone for fun, which I may bring into real life. Now I play shooters just because if appeals to my human nature to hunt, but at the same time I already know that the feelings just for the game and the competition and nothing more. That's at least how much I can explain it.
I don't think most kids have that kind of restraint to differentiate between that joy of playing of a game or the joy of actually killing for fun. There's a pretty damn good reason why games are rated-M BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT FOR KIDS! I really think it's horrible parenting whenever a parent let's a kid play a rated-M game you're pretty much risking exposing them to violence and gore and making them more sensitive to it. I know I sound like Jack Thompson but hey there's other reasons for my benefits and others why kids shouldn't be on Call of Duty.
Kids are annoying!
I'm not saying it in a bad way, well yes I am... but here me out. Okay most of us where pretty obnoxious and talked a lot as children. But it's natural and we can't help it. Hell the reason why we're overly self conscious and a bit more reserved as teenagers is because someone, mostly an older teenager or person, told us to shut up when we were little and we know what annoying brats when we were little.
So in the gaming lobby I know any gamer 16+ groan when a little kid is in the lobby and talking his little butt off. I don't blame them it's natural, but please what parent let you play and torture us? I have to deal with little cousins like this so why do I want to in this game?
I could take a Nazi, foreigner that doesn't speak english, girl, jerk, noob tuber, camper, etc., but once I hear a voice that hasn't hit puberty yet >:(
Kids really shouldn't be exposed to the adult crowd especailly the gaming adult crowd
For my own good and others I usually don't play with a mic due to my excessive swearing and cussing while playing whenever I get killed. So ya kids shouldn't be exposed to the gamers that don't show the same constraint like me. Teenage jokes, which usually consist of drugs, sex, and your mom shouldn't be what little kids should be listening to and no doubt they'll be imitating that in their lame way. We know we did that when we were little. When you heard the new cuss word from your friends you had to try it out, but by the time you use it on the daily you were old enough to be using them with your friends.
So in conclusion kids shouldn't be playing rated-M games or the alternative shut up while they play Call of Duty or Halo, but that's highly unlikely. In my opinion childhood should be consisting of playing outside even to preteen years. And if it comes to video games, there are already good non rated-M game out there. The Call of Duty multiplayer lobby isn't one of the places that one's childhood should be spent because once you enter it you'll loose it very quickly and regret somewhere along the way..... And be causing many a teenager to suffer in your obnoxious rambling about how you're so "good" because quite frankly no one cares.
